Youth Camp 2007- 10th-14th Dec

PLEASE PRAY WITH US (6 Dec)

We’ve just found out that we DO NOT have the camp venue exclusively to ourselves. There will be another group coming in on the 10th afternoon and leaving on the 12th at noon. The group is from the Salvation Army with a size of roughly 100 people( 70 plus youths).

Pray that:
1) We’ll be able to work out the camp programme with the salvation army group such that there are not clashes and both sides can carry out the activities as per planned.

2) The activities which require more concentration on the part of our youth ( worship and teachings especially) will not be disrupted by the activities of the other group.

3) There will be no issues between our youths and theirs, any scuffles, disagreements etc.

4) God will use the circumstances to do His will in the lives of our youth!

Few more days to camp! Let’s cover this camp in prayer, and expect the unexpected!


Thanksgiving

We want to thank God because He has provided for us:

• A camp venue- Changi Coast Adventure centre! The venue gives us many new options like kayaking, rock wall scaling and tackling of high elements which we are using to challenge and excite the youths!

• A camp speaker- Lim Chien Chong, national director of Singapore Youth For Christ, will be ministering to our youths from the 11th to the 13th of Dec.

• A camp theme- Get Real! Live For Jesus! A call for our youths to get real with their faith in a living God. We will be delving into the Sermon on the Mount (matt 5-7) to see its relevance for the challenges which our youth face today.

Please pray for:

Our Youths!

• To come and sign up full time for the camp! Currently we have about 95 people! To bring their friends! The camp is not evangelistic in nature, but it will be newcomer friendly.

• Excitement and Expectancy! That we will expect God to be working and preparing the soil of our hearts to be fertile for the Word, while having a good time!

The camp com!

The camp com this year is made up of the talented and enthusiastic batch of 92s. It is led by Pei De, Mark, Monica, Ben and Yu Jia. We need your prayers:

• God will give us Joy in serving Him.

• We will be committed, responsible and faithful to prayer and our various tasks.

• God will keep us from sin, so we serve with clean hands and a pure heart.

• We will grow in spiritual maturity as we serve.

PRay for good weather!

EVERYONE! yes i am lazy to figure out how to get the prayer requests into the prayer portion nicely so here it is!
Weather has been really great these past few days... for sleeping in that is,rainy mornings and such! Our camp activities however require fair weather or even sunny weather to work as planned! LETS pray for God's hand in holding up the weather as He has in previous camps and youth activities, and lets continue to persevere in faith that our activities can be used for the greater purpose of life change=)
